The Park Danforth is proud to offer an array of subsidized housing options in the Portland, ME area, including 70 apartments that offer Section 8 rental assistance to those 62 and older, as well as to those under the age of 62 with mobility and other disabilities that can be supported by the special design features of certain apartments. Those applying for these Section 8 apartments will be age-eligible and have incomes that meet certain federal guidelines.

A Conveniently Located Campus
Our subsidized housing options, as well as our entire senior living campus, is located on two main METRO routes (Forest Avenue and Stevens Avenue) and features the Main Dining Room and the Bistro. Residents may shop for a limited supply of groceries and household items in our resident store, the “Main Street Market,” access hair and nail services in the salon, enjoy a movie in the theater, or spend time in one of our many outdoor areas including the Rooftop Deck. For those who need a bit of extra support, housekeeping and personal support services are available.
