FAQ
FAQ
Is there a waiting list?
We currently have a waitlist for both independent and assisted living apartments. The length of the wait can vary depending on the floor plan you are interested in. For applicants to the federally-subsidized program, there is also a waiting list; it is difficult to predict the length of your wait as there are many factors that can influence a person's placement on the list. Applicants to the federally-subsidized program can likely expect a wait of 5 to 7 years.
Do you have visiting hours?
You are welcome to have guests at any time.
Can I have a guest stay overnight?
Yes, we welcome you to have friends and family visit and stay the night. Many residents enjoy the company of grandchildren visiting, as well. Your guests may want to take advantage of our Guest Apartment. Our one-bedroom guest apartment is fully furnished and is available to family members and friends of our residents. Contact our Sales & Marketing Department for more information.
Can my family join me for dinner in the dining room?
Yes, we only ask for a minimum of four hours’ notice. We are usually able to accommodate most requests. There is a charge for all guest meals, which is billed to the resident at the end of each month.
Is there someone in the building 24 hours per day?
Yes, there is an Emergency Staff member at the front desk 24 hours/day. This person is trained to respond to emergency calls and provide and/or obtain needed assistance.
Is there a long-term lease or buy-in?
We do require a 1-year lease but apartments can be vacated with 30 days written notice at any time. We do ask for a security deposit, which is placed in an escrow account and returned to you when you leave, providing that your apartment is in good repair. There is no security deposit required for our assisted living apartments.
What would my independent living apartment be like?
There are many different floor plans to choose from, including one- and two-bedroom apartments, and suites. Some have balconies. Each apartment offers a private bathroom, a fully applianced kitchen, and ample closet space. All are equipped with emergency pull-cords.
Is there parking available for my car?
Surface parking is available for one car per apartment. We provide snow removal in the parking areas as part of our groundskeeping services, and our wonderful maintenance team will clean your car off for you. Residents may also choose a covered parking spot for their vehicle for an additional monthly fee.
