Our mission is to provide housing and independent living services that enhance a person’s quality of life, respect their personal dignity, and accommodate the need for privacy and self-determination.

In doing so, we aim to respond to the individual’s changing needs brought about through aging.

We strive to provide assisted living that is welcoming, supportive, and dignified. We help our residents live happily and comfortably, even if they need extra care on a day-to-day basis. The Park Danforth is proud to have been an integral part of the Portland community since 1881. Over the last 140 years, our status as a nonprofit has allowed us the freedom to act solely in the best interest of our residents and staff, and we could not be more thrilled with all we have accomplished -- and what our organization will do in the future!
