Housekeeper and Laundry Attendant

Department: Resident Services

Schedule/Shift: 24 hours per week, first shift

Our Resident Services team is seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual to offer housekeeping and laundry support to our residents. Responsibilities will include vacuuming, washing floors/bath rooms, carpet cleaning, dusting, assisting with the laundry and other general cleaning related duties as needed. Qualified candidates will be trustworthy, reliable and thoughtful about the details. Individual must be proficient in English, possess the ability to read and write and be able to communicate effectively. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred.

 

Maintenance Custodian

Department: Facilities/Maintenance

Schedule/Shift:  40 hours per week, first shift

Our Maintenance Department is growing and we have an immediate opening for a Custodian to join our team!  This is a general custodial position with basic cleaning duties and specific functions required of cleaning common areas, restrooms and other assigned locations within our building.  We are looking for a candidate that is reliable and responsible with excellent attention to detail.  The employee will be able to work well independently and will be required to work in a safe and professional manner at all times. This is a first shift, Monday – Friday position. Scheduled hours can be 7:00 AM to 3:00PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  This is a 40 hour per week position with full-time benefits available.

 

Van Driver – Temporary

Department: Life Enrichment  

Schedule/Shift:  10 hours per week, usually first shift (some nights/weekends on occasion)

We are seeking a reliable, flexible, patient, mature and good-humored individual to transport the Residents of The Park Danforth on activity outings. Due to the types of activities provided for our Residents, the driver may need to be available on weeknights or weekends on occasion.

Hours will vary with approximately 10-14 hours of driving/activity related time per week.

Requirements:  Must be comfortable maneuvering a 12-passenger bus in a safe manner, as well as assisting residents with getting on/off with walkers and/or wheelchairs and groceries.  Must have the ability to operate wheel chair lift. Candidate will have a good knowledge of Greater Portland area roads and locations.

 

Wait Staff – Several Positions Available

Department: Dining Services

Schedule/Shift:  6-10 hours per week, second shift (3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. weekdays) and first shift (mornings on weekends)

Our dining services team is seeking individuals who are customer service focused, dependable, conscientious, patient and able to work in an autonomous, fast paced environment.  These positions are responsible for serving our residents in our in-house dining room. Our wait staff is committed to providing a superior dining experience!

We have several part time position offering flexible and rotating schedules. Candidates can expect anywhere from 6-10 hours per week. Hours are typically from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. during the week, with weekend availability as well.

This is a great opportunity for students seeking part-time employment, or individuals simply looking for regular hours with a great team to work alongside!  Candidates typically work one or more days per week.

Wait staff or food preparation experience with ability to multi-task is preferred but not required. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints. Must be able to work autonomously but within a team environment. A positive, can-do attitude and reliability is a must!

 

Server, Assisted Living Unit: Clark’s Terrace

Department: Dining Services

Schedule/Shift:  36 hours per week, first shift

This position serves as a dedicated resource for the purpose of food preparation and wait staff to our Assisted Living unit, Clark’s Terrace.  This position may assist with other duties in the kitchen including food preparation for the Main Dining Room and our Bistro Café. We are seeking candidates that are customer service focused, dependable, conscientious, patient and able to work in an autonomous, fast paced environment.  This position offers full-time benefits.

 

CRMA with PSS or CNA – Several Positions Available

Department: Assisted Living

Schedule/Shift:  Second Shift openings include 24 hours/week and 36 hours/week; Third Shift openings include 32 hours/week and 16 hours/week.

The Park Danforth is currently recruiting for several positions on second and third shift to support our Clark’s Terrace Assisted Living unit. We are seeking 5 CRMA certified professionals with either a CNA or PSS certificate. Our support professionals provide personal care and medication support to our assisted living residents.  We pride ourselves on providing quality care with compassion. The qualified individual will be CRMA certified with CNA or PSS certification; at least 1 year experience in the administration of medications in a long term care facility or related field. We are looking for a collaborative team player, with a positive can-do attitude.  The ability to multi-task and attend to details is critical. A proven track record of reliability and attendance is important.

 

Activities Program/Life Enrichment Assistant

Department: Life Enrichment

Schedule/Shift:  32 hours per week, first shift (some night and weekend programming)

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with people, creative, comfortable using all types of technology, is self-motivated, organized and has the proven ability to work successfully in a “take the lead” role!

In this role, you will lead resident centered activities and programs for our independent housing and assisted living residents. This will include regularly scheduled activities and programs as well as volunteer led and memory care designed programs. This position will require pro-active planning and day-to-day Resident support and solutions. This position is ideal for a person who seeks to develop relationships with community partners to enhance the Resident’s social, intellectual, spiritual, physical and creative experiences at The Park Danforth.

Qualified candidates will possess at least two years of related experience and an aptitude for working with the senior population and/or individuals experiencing cognitive limitations. Applicants must have a valid Maine driver’s license with a clean driving record.

 

Emergency Staff Support – Per Diem

Department: Security

Schedule/Shift:  Varied Per Diem Schedule (all shifts, weekends and some holidays)

We are seeking reliable, mature and responsible individuals for per diem Emergency Staff positions. This administrative position is responsible for the integrity of the building, its security and that of its Residents during non-business hours. Emergency staff members provide assistance in the event of health, mechanical and fire emergencies. We offer shift differentials during these hours.

Hours consist primarily of nights/weekends. Some holiday shifts may be available. Per diem staff covers for our current Emergency Staff personnel based on scheduling need.

Customer service/Receptionist experience is desirable. Individual with bookkeeping or data entry experience a plus. Must demonstrate ability to react calmly and confidently during stressful situations. Must be able to communicate in a respectful and polite manner. Must be able to read and write.
